I love this movie.

Pulp Fiction is one of my top-five favorite movies, and I wish I had the drive to complete something like this.

Aspirations

I WISH I could do this. Gaah.It's things like this that make me aspire to be a better artist. At this point in time, I'd say I'm an amateur. I enjoy art, I'm just not that great at many aspects and styles of it.

Roy Lichtenstein- Choosing a Style project

My sister has always had a fascination with Roy Lichtenstein, and when Mr. Puffpaff assigned a pop art project two years ago when I was in Art II, I did a recreation of his piece that is a hand holding a hair spray can. There's also another picture that I've added that I can only aspire to do.

What I plan on doing with this project is changing the eye to either a mouth or another inanimate object. I feel like the comic- style of Roy Lichtenstein will either de-sexualize the mouth, or hyper-sexualize it. However, my plans for my projects change many times until I get too far into one to be able to start another one. I may even end up doing something completely random and different from this style.


So far, my project idea has gone from a mouth to a cupcake. I think I may have to stick with the cupcake.

Pumpkin Painting!

1. My overall thoughts: I think it's cute. At the time, I really wasn't in the mood to do a dark Halloween themed pumpkin, so I decided to do a lighter theme.

3. There weren't any issues in doing the pumpkin, except for the fact that I had to cover it a few times with white paint first.

4. I think I would make it more Halloween-themed if I could do it over.

5. Nothing was that difficult in doing this project.

6. I learned that I would much rather paint on flat surfaces, rather than a three-dimensional object:)
